Babies & Toddlers

Our 2010/2011 session ended today.  Even on the last day, we had 3 new mums and little ones along - their first visit.  However, they enjoyed the group and felt quite at home - they are looking forward to joining us when we start again at the end of August.

We had a picnic at Stair Park on Tuesday (a really lovely morning weather-wise) and indeed a super morning in every way with over 20 little ones/mums, grandparents or carers along and some friends dropped into the park and joined us.

Our sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings are well attended.  The group is really friendly and everyone joins in the activities and chores.

Yes, it will be good to have a break for a few weeks but lovely to think we will be meeting again in August and whilst we have said goodbye to a few who are heading off to nursery, there will be many of our present number remaining and hopefully lots more - they will all be most welcome.

MESSY CHURCH

by Fiona Kennedy - 14:00 on 09 November 2010

Church on a Saturday? Messy Church? What is that all about?

On Saturday we held our first Messy Church. Messy Church is a time for all the family to come together to worship, have fellowship, sing songs, listen to stories and join in with crafts and activiites. A good number of people of all ages came together to think on the theme of Creation.

We made butterflies, bookmarks, stained glass windows, animal masks. We planted bulbs and made our own mini lava lamps!! Then we heard the wonderful story of how God made the world and everything in it, we sang some songs.

To finish off the morning we had lunch together.

Everyone had a great time.

We are now looking forward to Messy Christmas on Saturday 11 December, 11.30-1pm. Do join us!
